Individual Therapy
A space to understand yourself more deeply and change the patterns that no longer fit.
My ApproachMy approach is attachment-focused and psychodynamic, and I incorporate parts work when it is helpful. This means we may explore how early relationships and experiences continue to shape your emotions, sense of self, and the patterns that emerge in your life today. We may also become curious about the different parts of you that protect, criticize, avoid, or long for connection.
Rather than approaching therapy as a place where you need to be “fixed,” I’m interested in helping you understand the emotional patterns, relationships, experiences, and beliefs that have shaped the way you move through the world.
Our work is collaborative and conversational. We may explore the past when it helps illuminate what is happening in the present, while also paying close attention to what is unfolding in your life and within our work together right now.
My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can be deeply honest, understand yourself more fully, and gradually feel freer to make choices that reflect who you are and the life you want to build.
What brings you here may not fit neatly into a category. You may be coming to therapy because something feels stuck, painful, confusing, or simply harder than you want it to be.
These are some of the concerns clients often bring into therapy. We can begin with whatever feels most present and explore how it connects to the rest of your life.
-
Explore the patterns that shape how you connect with others, including closeness, conflict, trust, boundaries, and the ways past relationships may still be influencing the present.
-
We can slow down the mental loops, worry, self-doubt, and pressure that make it difficult to feel settled. Together, we’ll look at what the anxiety may be protecting you from and help you respond with more flexibility.
-
Major changes can bring up uncertainty, grief, identity questions, and a sense of not quite recognizing your life anymore. Therapy can offer space to make sense of what is changing and what you want to carry forward.
-
We’ll explore the beliefs you hold about yourself, where they came from, and how they affect the choices you make. The goal is to build a more grounded sense of self that feels less dependent on approval, perfection, or compassion.
-
Grief can come from many kinds of loss, including relationships, family changes, identity shifts, or the life you thought you would have. Therapy can help make room for what you’re feeling without rushing you toward closure.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to learn more about what brings you to therapy and whether I may be a good fit.
